Shredding
Grinding is the process of reducing the particle size of a product to the required size by means of mechanical action. According to the size of the crushed product, grinding is divided into two types:
  • Crushing: coarse (300-100 mm), medium (100-25 mm) and fine (25-1 mm). The purpose of crushing is to obtain a lumpy product of the required size, as well as preparation for grinding.
  • Grinding: coarse (1000-500 microns), medium (500-100 microns), fine (100-40 microns) and ultrafine (<40 microns).
